Q: Why does my candle smoke sometimes?
If your candle is smoking it can be due to the wick being to long, you want your wick at 5mm before each burn, trim your wick and have all debris removed. Also make sure the candle is not oxygen-starved and never burn candles in a draught. It could also be the cotton in the wick, this never lasts long.
-
Q: Why does my wick look like a mushroom/ flower?
After burning a candle once you have blown it out can it look like your wick has a mushroom top, this needs to be cut off before your next burn. If you don’t remove this and cut to the recommended 5-6mm it will let off a lot of smoke and the flame will be to large and the jar may crack.
-
Q: Why is my candle burning in a tunnel?
Candles will burn in a tunnel and leave a large amount of wax around the edge of the jar if the first burn wasn’t done for the time recommended this will happen. First burns are recommended to be 3-4hours to prevent this from happening.
-
Q: How low can I burn my candle?
Always leave roughly 2cm of wax at the bottom of the jar. If you burn it to the bottom to nothing there is a great chance your jar will crack and shatter due to the heat inside the jar.
-
Q: How should I store my candles?
Store your candles in a cool, dry place. Candles have different melting points, so never leave candles in your car on warm days or in sunny spots.
-
Q: How do I use my car diffuser?
They are really easy to use, unscrew the wooden lid and pop out the plastic cap. Place the wooden lid back on and turn upside down for the oil to soak in the lid. Once you have done that tip it back up the right way and pop the plastic cap back in. The plastic cap is there so nothing leaks out.
